Board failed

Bought this for the cabin had it for two years it died put a new board in it lasted just over the warranty and board died again don™€™t want to put another board in unless they™€™ve change the design of the board how would I find that out or am I better off just scrapping and buying something from general electric

I've had this a few weeks and so far, so good. I bought it because I wanted something smaller and more energy efficient. The door shelves are a little too big in the fridge and a little too small in the freezer, but overall I'm happy.

Freezer control knob broke off

I had this refrigerator for a month. The freezer was frosting up, so I tried to turn the control knob and it broke off. I see this has happened to others. The knob attaches to a plastic stem that is brittle when it freezes (and since this is the freezer compartment, it is always brittle). Terrible design. Souhld be a metal stem. . The warranty repair service was fantastic! They had to replace the entire assembly, since there was nothing for a new knob to attach to.It is now back up and running. But I wouldn't try to adjust the freezer unless you completely defrost it first.

Disappointed - freezer control button broke off

I was cleaning this fridge for a friend who is on holidays. I tried to turn the freezer control button to the left, toward the OFF position. The button broke off!!I contacted the toll free number and they said the button costs $32.60 Canadian funds! I am sure the button is only worth 25 cents wholesale, retail price should be around $3.00 Canadian -- not $30 +55. I was appalled. I ordered the part anyway because I want my friend's fridge to work when he comes home on Sept 20, 2018. I do not know how to remove a piece of the stem still stuck in the hole where the freezer control button goes. It has become a big headache... The fridge overall is nice enough but very disappointed in the quality of the parts used to build it.

Works flawlessly and my electric bill has taken a respectable dive! I do find the storage space to be oddly planned. No doubt this is partly my own fault; I am slow adapting to the new configuration. It is the economy car compared to my old gas-guzzling sedan.

I purchased this 12 cu ft one month ago as an additional refrigerator to store in the garage. I think it's well made, has enough room for our needs and the glass shelves in the unit clean easily. The thermostat control in the refrigerator hangs down lower than I would like, as it interferes with placing larger items such as milk containers, which we need to store on either side of the control. Lowering the shelves to compensate creates wasted space. Also, it would be great if the unit had a freezer light for when you're only opening that part of the unit.

I bought this refrigerator a few months ago and in less than 2 months the control panel died. That's the brains of the appliance, nothing worked! Not the refrigerator nor the freezer! Then it takes more than 10 days to get the part which they do not let you pay extra to expedite. So I'm stuck with this one!

We have purchased 50 of these units and they are nothing but problems. The fan goes out which takes out the circuit board. We are spending a small fortune on parts. As soon as the warranty went out their advice was to buy an extended warranty. I should expect to get more than a years service from an appliance.

Failed in under 2 years

We bought this fridge and had problems immediately. The gasket around the freezer door was faulty. It took 2 months for the gasket to be back ordered because it was out of stock. After gasket was replaced it worked fine for a while. Now less than two years after purchase, the refrigerator has failed. I will never by a Frigidaire product again.

We bought 8 of these this year for some small condos. They are barely used, yet 3 have already failed and 2 have failed twice. They quit cooling and it is always the motherboard. They seem to know there is a problem but still send us bad parts. They don't have an authorized repair person anywhere near by and they won't allow the local appliance repair folks to order the parts and get it repaired in a hurry so we are required to wait an undetermined amount of time to send a person to check it out. An hour on the phone pleading our case led no where. This makes the quality problems we are experiences even more challenging.

I bought this appliance thinking that it would be a bit bigger, decided to keep in spite of size, then the problem of it not functioning properly started approximately a month or two after purchase, since it was only a short period of time I tried unplugging, checking if the door was ajar...finally 4 months later called for servicing only to realize that the thermostat was not functioning properly as per the person replacing the part, also you can't store too much in freezer since this can block the vent.(getting service for the product was A-plus, they responded in a timely fashion, but I would not buy another. It has been at least two weeks since the replacement part has been placed. still monitoring.

Nice addition as a second basement refrigerator. Energy star rated so I received a rebate and free haul away of previous model. Metal freezer shelf is flimsy, and sags easily. Fixed with a piece of plywood. Can't use a refrigerator shelf due to it being a different size. Would recommend that Frigidaire improve the quality of that shelf.

Had an old 20cf electric hog in our breezeway as a second fridge replaced with apartment size ftigidaire used a kilowatt meter on both WHAT A DIFFERENCE . Kilowatts dropped off a lot . Unit not packed with features but it is serving my needs fine overall a good product.
