This freezer has been garbage. Broken down 4 times in 3 years.

We bought this freezer new April 2016. It's broken down four times in the last three years. Each time losing most of the food ($$$) in it. This freezer is only the third Frigidaire product product we've owned(2 of 3 have been junk). Don't really know what brand to turn to, but I wouldn't recommend Frigidaire.

This is the second freezer we have purchased and the least satisfatory. There is an air leak that builds up a large amount of ice at the top of the freezer. The seal is good . I am unable to find the leak. The freezer has to be defrosted once a week and this is unacceptable. Support is non existent , I wont be getting any help from Fridgidaire and am stuck with a faulty freezer.

I'm so glad Frigidaire solicited my review! I paid $800 for this and 3 months later meat on top shelf thawed and made huge mess. Repairman they sent said the fan had never been connected from factory. I talked with customer service 2 times and emailed also 2 times because of the awful stench that was a direct result of their carelessness and all I was told over and over was that the warranty didn't cover odors. This is the worst and most frustrating thing I have ever encountered with regards to purchasing an appliance. I will never buy Frigidaire and will strongly encourage everyone I know not to either. It was not my fault I lost meat and produce, spent countless hours trying to clean, and still have a stinky freezer. Frigidaire=stinky They don't care about customers.

This freezer replaced a small chest freezer. I had been looking at upright freezers so a while and decided on the Frigidaire 16 cu ft. I'm pleased with all the features-the size as well as the LED lighting, but most of all the fact that it's energy star rated. The one and only issue that I have is that the door seal is very tight which makes it hard to open. I am happy with is purchase and hope to have many worry free years from it.

Freezer lasted less than 2.5 years

This freezer barely lasted 2 years. Now, the light is on, the door is shut and the knob is turned to its coldest temperature. However, the freezer is not freezing. Not sure if it's working at all. We lost at least $200 of dollars of meat/food.
