Worst appliance we have ever owned.

We bought this appliance April of 2016. It has been the noisiest, loudest weird sounds coming from within. We can get past that, but we now have water dripping out of the freezer door. this is the 4th time this has happened each time we have to empty the freezer out and defrost it. There have been large chunks of ice under the bins on the freezer side. The drain is not allowing water to evaporate. We have taken the inside apart and had to use a hair dryer to defrost the back panel because it is not defrosting and functioning properly.

icemaker has been replaced twice under warranty and the ice bucket/auger assembly had to be replaced it cracked. yesterday it started making noise like something is hitting the fan in the freezer and it is all frozen inside like the automatic defrost stopped working. i hate this fridge nothing but problems.

Needed repair within a month

Within 4 weeks of purchase, we had to have a repair technician out to our house TWICE to stop everything in the fridge freezing up (including the water filter lines). Frigidaire said they were not liable for all the frozen celery, tomatoes, and fruit, or the case of water we had to purchase to have filtered water to drink. Thank You! The technician said the weakness of this unit (and most side-by-sides) is the diverter valve/flap, which allowed too much cold air into the fridge, blowing directly onto the water filter assembly. Praise to the technician and repair firm. They made our ordeal bearable. At least the warranty covered the issue. I would invest in an extended warranty if you purchase ANY side-by-side unit from any manufacturer.

I bought this nearly six months ago. Right from the get-go I had problems with the handle on the door it kept falling off. I know sooner repaired the door handle when a week later the water dispenser started pouring from the top instead of from the dispenser hose. You can't even fit a carton of eggs on the door. It's also very noisy. I only gave it two stars for the fact that its energy efficient and has a beeper when the doors left open. This is cheaply built. I would not recommend anyone to buy it and I was very disappointed.

It's small not a lot of room. The ice maker is always making a loud popping noise and I was told it has due to an air pocket in the line, which I find hard to believe because the water and ice marker is always being used.

Bought this upgraded model when ordering a modular home from Pine Grove in PA. Not very much of an upgrade since it does not have a temperature readout and requires the purchase of a supplemental hang on unit and without it can't tell if temperature setting is correct. Also, refrigerator fan runs 24 x 7 and if you are within 10 feet of the unit it emits an annoying noise constantly. You may want to consider that fact if you have to spend any amount of time near the unit. Additionally, the directions to allow a 24 hour stabilization period to occur before making any adjustments did not work properly since the initial factory settings had the high temperature warning tone constantly beeping after 24 hours. Even a call to Frigidaire customer service confirmed the unit will run constantly with no additional suggestions. The agent was courteous and as helpful as she could be but could tell she was restricted to reading script in response to questions I was asking. All in all do not recommend this unit since is the worst appliance I have had in my 70 years of life.

This refrigerator makes a loud clicking noise when the compressor comes on. sounds like morse code being tapped out or sleet hitting the window. When I had the service technician out he told me that new refrigerant being used in the compressors and the way the copper lines were routed was the cause and nothing could be done to resolve the problem so I'm stuck with a "pretty" refrigerator that seems to work well, just super loud and annoying. Only thing I can do is turn to social media and warn all my friends about buying a new frigidaire, they tell all their friends and well you get the picture. Think this review will hurt my chances of winning the 1000.00 sweepstakes lol.

I bought this unit when we moved into our new house. It keeps all food fresh and the freezer works great. The only issues I've noticed in the month we've had this is that it makes knocking sounds when it is making ice and when I turn off the ice maker, there is a bit of frost that builds up where the ice is dispensed. When I turn it back on, the frost goes away. Other than these little issues, it's working terrific.
