Rust issues

The appliance works well, but the door around the ice/water dispenser has been rusting and looks terrible. The rust keeps spreading on the door. The freezer racks have also started to rust. Also, the tube that the water comes out of is deteriorating and I cannot get it clean. It seems like such a waste of money to have to replace an entire refrigerator to solve a water dispenser issue, as we have only had the refrigerator for about 5 years. Do you sell replacement doors with the water and ice dispenser?

Ice maker issues

I bought it almost 5 years ago but from the beginning noticed that the ice bar to turn off does no do the job and ice goes everywhere out of the tray. The worse part is that the freezer inside is rusting which to me is unacceptable. I wish I could just exchange it but the store I bought it from closed the following year. One tray in the freezer keeps falling out of place. Sad since I can't afford another one. The rest works fine, just a little loud at times.

I bought this refrigerator about 7-8 months ago..I love it, except that the door handle seems to be loosening.I don't know how to fix it..studied all accompanying literature and did not see anything in reference to the door handle!.Other than that, I am very pleased.

Bought this refrigerator a few years ago. The handle loosened almost immediately, but the good news is, when it finally fell off wasn't hard to replace. The bottom bin on the door broke, the piece that holds it onto the door snapped off. It was not overloaded, just cheaply made. We bought a replacement part, and that broke after a few months, despite us only putting lightweight things in there. All adults in the house, so no one was closing the refrigerator door with the crisper drawer open to make this happen. It doesn't feel solid at all. I wish I had spent more money and gotten a better quality product.

So far I really like this refrigerator. Has a ton of space on both sides. The noise level isn't bad at all. I guess it is louder than my Whirlpool that this replaced, but unless you are standing right next to it in a totally quiet room, you cannot hear it. Face it, a kitchen is not a library...lol! The only complaint so far is they could have added another glass shelve in the refrigerator, one more large door bin, and another wire freezer shelf. Which brings me to why I am on this site today. I want to order those parts and don't see any parts department to do so! Btw...Frigidaire you need to upgrade the glue backing you use to attach the dispenser sicker to the refrigerator.

Was so excited, but ran into some unexpected...

Problems. We have had this fridge for almost a year now. The ice chopper began clogging/getting stuck in the first few months. It prevents the ice from coming through if you want to just get a few cubes. We have literally had to stick a wooden spoon up in the crushing mechanism to unwedge the ice that causes the problem. To this day, we cannot get the crushed ice mechanism to work. When my kids forget and try, we start the process all over again- no ice available until you unwedge the problem cube. Needless to say, it has been disappointing. Along with that problem, both lights burnt out within a month of each other after around 6-7 months in to having it. It is not as loud as my previous fridge (which was ancient), but still makes noises from time to time that make me worry whether it is doing what it should. I feel like we paid more specifically FOR the ice/water option and feel highly agitated that this problem persists.

Design of ice maker leaves unused space that could have been put to use. It came with 4 refrigerator door shelfs (2 deeper for upper & 2 for lower). Ordered additional door shelf for upper which is highly recommended. Within one month, developed water dripping from door ice dispenser. The issue is being addressed and hopefully will correct the problem. Depth of refrigerator and it's shelves makes for great storage of even tall items.

This has all of the features I wanted without going overboard. I do have two negatives...one of the handles is loose and there doesn't appear a way to fix that, and the glass on top of the cold storage drawer is too loose.

This product was bought 3 years ago and we have had problem after problem. There have been 5 claims submitted since the purchase date. From the ice maker, to the water reservoir, to replacing the fan, and back to the ice maker again, to sporadic loud noises. This refrigerator does not even come close in comparison to the previous one we owned for over 25 years and it was not a Frigidaire. If we could afford to replace it we would.

We bought our fridge about a month and go and it's been a great refrigerator. We went to a counter depth and that took a little time to get used to, but glad we made the decision. Everyone claims it's loud, but we don't think it is, we hear the ice drop but that's about it. Overall, I would recommend.

I'm so disappointed that I bought this fridge. The ice maker sounds like a gun going off every time it drops ice and it's supposed to shut off automatically when full but it doesn't. It just spills ice down the side so I have to do it manually. Even when not making ice it makes the sound of ping pong balls bouncing around. I haven't even had it a year :( don't buy!

Ice maker is a thorn in the flesh!! Overshoots the bucket, cubes freeze together, ice drops into freezer, noise it makes when dropping ice makes me think someone is breaking in the house!!! The freezer and refrigerator are fine, but the ice maker is so ill designed that it takes away from the good parts. A real lemon.

I bought the Side-by-Side Refrigerator a couple of months ago because my previous model died! I needed a replacement immediately and wanted to shop local so went to Stine's. I brought the measurements of the opening in my kitchen; and this was the model in stock that would fit. The sales person was very helpful and warned me it was a bit noisy. She wasn't kidding about that! For the first few days the dog even barked when it would start gurgling.After delivery and installation I followed the recommended wait time - when I went to load food in the freezer I noticed the light was out. I figured the bulb had come unscrewed somehow - when I reached behind the ice maker to tighten the bulb the glass globe part came off in my hand. I couldn't physically reach the socket to unscrew the portion of the bulb that remained in the socket, so I had to call the service department to change the light bulb. The serviceman said this was a first for him but after trying he couldn't reach it either - he had to totally remove the ice maker to get the broken part out. Very poor design.After using the crushed ice tool - there always seems to be a loose ice cube w that falls out when you open the door.Other than that.... it's fine.
