Not my old Maytag

My 17 yr old 20 cu ft Maytag died and I replaced it with this--it is hard to get a large refrigerator in and out of my old house. I was shocked at the lack of storage space--the crisper drawers are too small for a good sized head of cabbage. The gallon storage is much less interesting to me than having room for milk plus juice plus wine. The crisper drawers no longer run on wheels, but slide with friction into the refrigerator. Tough to close and they keep getting caught on the tabs that control humidity. If you make pots of stews and soup, there is little room for all else. If you are a gardener and eat a plant based diet, you have inadequate room for all your vegetables. The deli drawer is ridiculous. Maytag, bring back the old 20 cu ft model....

Love the Maytag, but 1 thing to remember (as this is my second of the same model) is to make sure to vacuum and clean underneath where all the cooling fan/grates are. If you do not do this, it will eventually overheat and the compressor will go out for a $500+ fix. I've been there, so make sure you clean out the vent underneath periodically, at least every 6 months. If you don't trust yourself, get the models with cooling grates that are attached to the rear of the fridge.

Being a Grandmother of several grandkids, who are in and out of the refrigerator all day long, I was concerned if the refrigerator would keep food cold. I was babysitting in the summer while school was out, so the grandkids spent quite a lot of time at my house. Well, the refrigerator kept the food cold and the ice cream frozen. It did an excellent job. This is my 2nd Maytag. The older Maytag is 13 years old and still working. We keep that one in the garage for extra room. I couldn't be happier.

We've had our new refrigerator for about a month or so and I just love it! This is my first with a top fridge and bottom freezer. With our old fridge I had problems seeing what was on the glass shelves (I'm vertically challenged at 5 feet tall) and ended up with more science experiments at the back of the shelves than I ever saw in science class. With my new wonderful fridge, I can see everything on the shelves! Love the bottom 2 drawer freezer and the ice maker is the best I've ever had. The only con I have is the crisper drawers are smaller than the ones we had but we're working that out. We have a Maytag washer and dryer and I've never had a problem with them. I would highly recommend Maytag - great products!

I love the styling and the 10 warrantee . I wish the door would close easier. The door can hang up just before closing, and not be fully closed. Also the noise coming from unit a clicking or tap noise comes from the refrigerator , never had one make the loud of a noise.

After reviewing side by side, bottom freezer units we decided to go with this Maytag. With a single upper door and great interior layout, this seemed to be the best choice for our needs. Less doors, less moving parts to break. Cooling and freezing temps seem to be consistent and interior layout works well.

I didn't want a side by side or French door refrigerator and wanted white, my options were limited. I like only having one door to contend with and seems to have plenty of room in fridge and freezer for a smaller size fridge. I like the stainless handles on the white, looks much better than white on white! So far I like it a lot!

We have only had this frig for 2 months, so can't speak for reliability, but love it so far. It is sooo quiet and the adjustable shelves make it so much easier to customize for added space. The only thing I don't like is the immovable dividers in the top freezer drawer. It has caused problems for me a couple of times. The pictures don't show the freezer well. I would've liked having solid drawers rather than the basket type, but not a deal breaker. I love the ease of having the freezer drawers on the bottom so I am not bending over searching for stuff in the back of the frig. We have not hooked up the water for the ice maker. The delivery guys won't connect the water if you have copper tubing connections. We don't use that much ice with only 2 of us so we haven't done it yet. I love the large covered butter shelf. Lights are bright, but items on the shelves can block it some. My husband likes the industrial looking handles. Great for "man" hands.

This is the first freezer on the bottom I've ever had. It is taking time to get used to it. I find that the small baskets in the freezer are very difficult to organize. I don't feel I can utilize the space efficiently. It would be much better if there was just one large basket. The drawers of the refrigerator are very poorly made. Already the humidity control notch for the vegetable drawer broke off. It's not even worth fixing because, with its poor construction, it will surely happen again. I find that there are some places in the refrigerator that become too cold and end up freezing my food. I am also concerned about a lot of condensation in both the fridge and freezer. I am hoping that it is due to the very hot summer temperature and that in the fall this will not be an issue. I do like the way the refrigerator looks and so far my food is being kept cold, so that's a positive.

We bought this new Maytag 33" wide refrigerator 2 months ago and are just so happy that we chose a Maytag brand. The 10 year warranty on the compressor and the bottom freezer are the main reasons for choosing this brand and model. It fit perfectly in our spot, and we are delighted not to have to bend down to see what's in the upper refrigerator portion. The whole interior of the refrigerator is set up very efficiently and with consumers in mind. Everything has it's appropriate place where is is easy to get to. We already had a Maytag washer and dryer and were aware of the Quality of the brand, so didn't have to think twice about selecting a Maytag product again!!! My wife loves the LED lighting, too!!!

We live in a small house with a very limited refrigerator space, and Maytag was one of the few manufacturers to offer models in smallish dimensions. This model fit into our exterior space nicely and offers what I would consider to be the maximum interior space possible. Shelves and bins are laid out nicely, and everything is easy to see and reach. We're about as happy as you can be over a refrigerator purchase. This one replaces an 18-year-old Maytag that also fit the description above.

We bought this refrigerator about two months ago. We are very happy with the inside configuration of both fridge and freezer. Much better than our old side by side. Everything is easier to find.However the stainless finish is beautiful looking but a disaster trying to keep clean. Only my husband and I use this, and we are so careful of handprints. But when I did wish to clean the front, with a stainless steel cleaner which I chose very carefully, all the vertical swiping left a a smudgy oily stain everywhere I touched. I've tried dish soap and water and a very soft cloth and cleaned and cleaned, but these strokes are still there. I'm hoping that goes away with time. The name of the product is: The Home Store stainless steel cleaning wipes. The finish on the photo on the front of a refrigerator looks just like ours.The GE fridge we replaced was 26 years old....worked great until a leak began.I bought this from Van Vreedes in AppletonWI. I went there to buy the Affresh mentioned in the literature. I was told that 1, they don't sell it and 2, I can't use it on a Maytag refrigerator anyway!

We bought this fridge so that we could put our old one in the garage as a spare. We do a lot of summer entertaining and this fridge is great! So much will fit in here - I love having so much door storage space so that there is always room for summer salads and fruits. It's bright and spacious. Only complaint is that i can't get used to the door being so much heavier than my old one - sometimes it doesn't close when i swing it behind me.
