This microwave is big and has lots of extra features with sensors. The only 2 things I don't like is that the clock isn't visible from any angle, only directly in front, and I can't just touch the 1, 2 or 3 for immediately cooking for 1, 2 or 3 minutes.

I bought this microwave a month ago and enjoy it's features and sound Quality as it is quiet.This is a replacement for the one that came with the house when I purchased it. I previously had a Matag microwave and am glad to return to the Matag product line.The only negative is the tone that is set off when the cycle is done. My hearing is not the best so I never hear the tone. I wish I could increase the volume.

We love it! It has great options and features. Love the "it's ready " jingle it plays when your food is finished, no more irritating "beeps". Easy to use and operate. It "senses" when the popcorn is finished and came out perfect! My son used it to reheat sime pizza. Usually he would just put it on for one minute and eat it, but this microwave has a button for pizza. He used it and it "sensed" it and set itself for 2:30 minutes st a reduced temperature. When it was finised - he said "tastes just like it came out of the box"! Definitely worth every penny we paid!

I never knew that I microwave could be so quiet. Love the stainless steel interior, you can actually see when it needs to be cleaned. And the alert when the cooking cycle is finished...a cute little tune not that annoying beep-beep-beep.This baby-boomer says...Maytag has their act together!

We purchased this for our mother-in-law apartment and she loves it! The three-speed fan is super helpful, the lowest setting being extremely quiet , but effective. The sensor cooking helps food come out perfectly cooked every time. The only thing she doesn't like is that every time you open it, the back of the interior is so shiny it's like looking in a mirror. (I'm sure some people would love that feature!) Overall great product!

We bought our 1st Maytag microwave, stove, refrigerator and dishwasher in 2004. Since then, our five children have graduated from college and are on their own. Our Maytag stove, refrigerator and dishwasher are still working fine. Our microwave just quit a few months ago. Of course there was no doubt that we were going to get another Maytag. We look forward to family gatherings, which now is our five children, their spouses, and eight grandchildren because we know that our Maytag appliances will not let us down.

Our old microwave magnetron broke. Few if any 'fix-it" people do that so it was time to buy new.We went to the store with one thing in mind and wound up with something so much better!This Maytag microwave is awesome! Cooks evenly. Easy to clean. Huge inside. Has the best finish sound EVER with little tune instead of the old 'buzz'. Using it is actually fun.

Good looking appliance. This over the range microwave oven is easy to clean. However, it does not cook the food as fast as my previous Maytag microwave. The wattage on my old Maytag was 1100 and this model is 1000. The alarm tones are not loud enough, you can barely hear them even if you are right in the cooking area. The light inside of the microwave is too dull compared to my old Maytag. Also the color of the light up digital panel is dull.

One year and one month after we bought it the door stopped latching shut out of the blue. The control panel stopped working at the same time as the door. Of course since it is over one year it's definitely not covered by the limited warranty, if it even would have been covered to begin with. I've seen similar reviews about the same issue on multiple websites. Most of them say that estimates to repair it are more than the cost of the microwave.

It is so much better than the off brand I had that died on me.< that was new 5 yrs ago> It has a classy look, the inside is stainless steel, has a rack, and the cooking time is so much faster than the old one . watch how much time you put on it, cause I used to put a minute now it takes 30 secs for warming beverages.the clock is e z to set, my electric went off this morning, i reset it., without pulling out a manuel, or getting a flash light , and a message comes up "clock reset" I am not tech savy, and the buttons you can read, this is important for older people, and i'm not even 65 yet. . It is easy to clean, and very quiet running, the old one so much noise to run. The alarm when done is adjustable, I like the low tone, and it repeats. It is very sturdy , nice handle ,design. I would recommend. the fan is three speed which is nice!

The overall performance of the over-the-range microwave is satisfactory, but there were/are some issues that will keep this from getting my top rating. One--the self-installation instructions were not as helpful as I needed, especially for attaching the mounting bracket and drilling the holes. "Inches of measurement" in the diagrams were hard to discern. Placement of the mounting bracket based on the instructions was difficult--and I got it wrong, based on my first attempt. (And I know my way around DIY home repairs and installations). Secondly, the fan, at all speeds, is way too noisy. Thirdly, the "cooking is over" beeper is very nearly inaudible--very annoying. Plus, I wanted to remove the piece to access the carbon filters, just to make sure I had it down when I needed to remove the filters for replacement. Wow! The piece was so difficult to remove, and, in fact, hung up so that I was afraid that I was going to break it when I removed it. Not GOOD! Not customer friendly. So, the bottom line is that the microwave works fine, but was not easy to install. Its longevity will determine, ultimately, if this was a good purchase or not. At this point, I would not recommend to others, but bought it primarily on the Maytag name reputation.

So far it is functioning well. However the power is so low that it takes more time to warm up food.The look of the machine could have been better and attractive. As it is now, it looks that the cover may come out any time etc.

Have had it now for about 2 weeks and it's a step up from our old 15 year old one that went out. A few small things we've noticed are, the end cook sound notifier (beeper) is not very loud if you like to hear it in a somewhat noisy environment like the exhaust vent or a kitchen tv ect...and there was no sound level adjust. The door squeaks when opening and closing, will have to get with Maytag before trying to oil it. When I used the popcorn function on some Jollytime Ultimate Cheddar it used sensor mode and when the popcorn stopped popping the microwave was still cooking it so I stopped it before it over cooked it. Don't know if another type of popcorn will do differently. Potatoes on sensor cook came out perfect. The exhaust fan is reversible during installation to vent air outside instead of inside, we liked being able to send exhaust outside. The adjustable exhaust, light and turntable are great. The display is a bit small but we have adjusted to it plus it's a orange yellow color which we had to adjust to from the old green/blue one we had prior. All in all we are happy with it using it everyday especially the larger inside space where we can defrost a 3 pound ground turkey roll fitting nicely. After 2 weeks ownership I recommend this Microwave.

The appearance outside is nice. The interior is the best looking microwave I have ever seen. The top innovation is that the oversize turntable overhangs the opening and the door closes around it. Amazing.
