We are very pleased with the undercounter trash compactor. It is much quieter than we expected. The ONLY complaint is that there were NO COMPACTORS in the Fingerprint Resistant Stainless Steel so the compactor finish is slightly different than our other appliances. We are probably the only ones that notice!

I have never owned a trash compactor. This appliance looks so good. That's really why I bought it and I installed it myself. It fits flush under the counter. "Honney, please take out the trash", 80% less. Maytag gets it. Thank you, your friend, Relaxin'- Rick.

We bought this to replace one we had had for 10 years. The Maytag has some nice features, the foot pedal is easy to operate. The filter fan is a bit noisy so we rarely use it.

Works great, I can put a weeks worth of trash in it before I need to change the bag. We would use 4 to 5 bag a week before we purchase this compactor.
