I was so lucky to find such a product on the internet that I couldn't wait to have delivered to my home. I like all but one feature about the dryer: the lint catcher compartment is too narrow and it is difficult to clean. Overall, it's a great machine!

Our dryer is stacked on our washer. It is too high to read the controls. We need the manual to guess at which controls we're using. Hey Maytag! Can't you have an option for stacked machines to have the controls under the door?

Bought this along with washer, replaced 22 year old dryer.
Stackable, so I have room for laundry stuff and broom closet.
Usable features and more energy efficient than the old dryer. Time will tell how durable this dryer really is.

We have had our dryer over a month and I am sure we will save on energy costs ,it's very efficient and steam refresh is a good feature .also it tells you if you have good air flow which is really nice to know.

I purchased a new washer and dryer from the Maytag Store in July. For the past 30+ years I have purchased a minimum of 10 appliances from Sears. I have only had one issue with a refrigerator, which they immediately replaced the unit.
At the end of November the heat stopped working in my dryer. I called service and was told to check my vents. I checked my vents, which were clear, and called back to make an appointment. I had to wait 10 days. They gave me a 4 hr window. The person called that morning and said they would arrive between 9:30 and 10am. I raced home from work only to find a tag on my door saying he was there and gone.
I called Customer Service....there system was down and they would not respond to calls or messages. Later that day I got through and was told I needed to make another appointment. Another week without a dryer.
Technician arrived Dec 21st checks everything out (electrical outlet, circuit, vent, breaker, components) everything looks good. He puts it back together and it works. He says he doesn't know why it happened but its fine now. I said you don't know why...as in it could happen again and he said possibly.
Sure enough Dec 24th no heat in my dryer again. I call and can't get an appointment until Jan 3. Another week without a dryer. Technician came and asked for the history. Without looking at it he says it needs a new motor. I said, do you have one with you? No I will have to come back. He did return the next day and it has been running well ever since.
I did get an email response, but no compensation for my troubles.
I know that the products I purchased in the past from Sears and these new ones are all Whirlpool products, so I would expect the same good quality overall. I am hoping the difference I experience in the Customer Service is the exception and not the norm.

This dryer was bought 5 months ago, and now it rattles regardless if there is clothing in it. A service tech came out and said that was normal operation, that parts are "settling" and it may make a rattle noise. Unacceptable answer. I called back to Maytag and they will charge me for another service call if it deemed this is normal. Something is loose within the dryer and it rattles. Other then that it is a great dryer

I love my dryer but it keep ratteling, the reperator came twice, he will order a new motor to try and fix the rattle. Kind of disapointed that it makes rattling noise even after 2 tech tried to solve the issue. Would expect better build quality. I wish i could get a brand new one instead.
