We purchased this one because the cooking grates were lower than any competitors and the unit was highly rated by reviewers. Plus it had a indicator light which showed that a burner was "on". Unfortunate Accident leads to Wonderful Addition

We accidentally broke the stem on our previous monogram 36" Cooktop while deep cleaning. While we were initially hoping to have it repaired, we eventually had to order a new one. After careful consideration and reading lots of reviews, we decided on the Bosch 800 series. We absolutely love this cooktop! It is so powerful - fires up immediately and is even more powerful than our previous cooktop. I am still adjusting to that and burning things every so often while I'm learning - but very pleased with our purchase. Due to the shortages experienced this year, we had to wait months for a cooktop and had no idea how much it would be missed in our kitchen. We are so thankful to have it now and are looking forward to many years with it!

Spacious, easy to clean and efficient

It's been a month since we got our cooktop. The install took some time since we had to scrape some countertop to fit it in but the installers were really nice and did a great job. The knobs are very sensitive and the burners light up immediately. No need to press hard and a gentle touch will get it started. I like the light that indicates whether a burner is on or off -useful if you have kids who also cook and a good safety feature. The burners are powerful and I hardly ever use it on full blast, more like low to medium. Cooktime for me has reduced, esp. since my previous one was old and super low power. I like the distance between the burners so utensils don't clang each other. Easy to clean steel - I use a gentle cloth and wipe with a natural water based product. No need to scrub. I am very happy and I hope it lasts a long time.

A few years ago, I needed appliances for my remodeled kitchen and I didn't care if all of them were the same brand. I asked the salesman which ones were the top Consumer Reports appliances. This cooktop was the recommended one. I installed it in my new kitchen and absolutely loved it! We sold that home last year and our new home came with a "package" of appliances from another brand. I liked all of them except for the cooktop. It looked really cool, but the grates were so high that it took forever to get up to a boil. It was hard to simmer anything except on the smallest burner. So, I bought this cooktop again and replaced that one I hated! It is going to REStore as a donation. Love my Bosch cooktop!! I can finally simmer again!

I had my Bosch gas cooktop installed the week before Thanksgiving and I can happily say it stood up to the task. I love to cook and cook all the time and am pleased with the performance as I seemed to be cooking for days in preparation for Thanksgiving. My only concern is keeping the cooktop clean. I have been very vigilant about keeping it spotless as you can see the residue from cooking. All in all, glad we made the purchase.

It takes very very long to boil things even with 19000btu as the flame barely touch the pot bottom. I am disappointed at this product. Was looking forward to it so much but now I am so bummed. This is a very big flaw. Other than that I like everything else about it.

We love this cooktop. The simmer burner is terrific while the 19,000 btu middle burner makes short work of boiling large kettles of water. The grates are tough without being too heavy. They stay together without interlocking which helps with cleaning. The burners and knobs also come off to make deep cleaning easy. This unit has what the chef needs without a bunch of backlit or digital gimmicks. Now the most important part. No manufacturer publishes specs on the distance between burners. Most units' center to center measurements are 7 to 8.5 inches. This does not cut it for large meals and large families. The Bosch has a generous 9.5 to ten inches large kettles, 12" skillets and other pots at the same time. This speeds cooking and also provides even heat because all cookware can be centers. No juggling! While the spread still isn't as large as many stove tops, it's about as big as we found without buying over the top commercial.

I purchased this cooktop a year ago as part of the kitchen remodel at my new house. I previously had a Kenmore that was in my last home that was there when I moved in. This Bosch cooktop is far superior. I love the smaller burner and the simmer cap that allows me to cook a roast or pasta sauce low and slow without burning. The large high output burner helps boil water quicker for pasta, too. The quality of the all the parts and the clean lines look great in my new kitchen. Definitely consider the Bosch! You won't be sorry!

My Bosch cooktop replaced a unit that I had for 30 years that was difficult to clean and did not provide room for large pots of any size or shape. Thankfully my new Bosch cooktop has solved both the aforementioned problems and has also added a wonderful modern look to my newly remodeled kitchen. Cleaning all the parts of the cooktop is easy, the grills are simple to remove and replace making cleaning the rest of the cooking areas a breeze. The 5 burners are simple to adjust to the needed heat levels and cook food very evenly. Never having owned a Bosch appliance before this cooktop, I would not hesitate in considering other Bosch appliances should the need arise.

The Best Cooktop

I love this cooktop! I have been using an electric flat cooktop for the past year and did not have a good experience with that at all. I feel like I am a chef cooking in a grand kitchen! I love my propane cooktop!
