This dishwasher is remarkably quiet. It replaced a KitchenAide that we had for 18 years, and by far, this dishwasher is much quieter. It's so quiet, you don't know that it's running unless you're standing right beside it. We've only had it for 6-7 weeks, but we love it!

Failed in less than 4 years

Dishwasher had water clogging issues + the panel failed in less than 4 years. Parts shipments took more than a week and repair was expensive. Wires and connections inside the unit came off with regular force.

Love this dishwasher. Sometimes dirty dishes sit in there for a day or two before being washed and they still come out clean and clear. It even removed the build-up on glasses from my old dishwasher after just one cycle. Dishwasher does great job on everyday dishes. Very quiet!! Had difficulty adding finish. Contacted Bosch to find service contact. Told unfortunately there were no authorized service locations near me. Finally had to resort to YouTube to get some repair hints and solved the problem. Can't imagine what troubles I would have if there were a major mechanical problem. Basically my warranty is worthless. I advise any perspective customer of a Bosch dishwasher to check first if there is a service center available for their area.

It's an absolute waste of wanting to buy anything quieter than this unit. You can bend over and put your ear to it and barely know it's on. He cleans the dishes very well and I love how configurable each rack is. Make sure you read the instructions because there are just enough features to confuse you. I thought drying was going to be an issue but it's really not you said it at night, it's dry in the morning. I recomend this to anyone who asks. I would not have mind having the one with the dryer balls, but I still don't regret this purchase

We had always had to clean our dishes completely, before putting them in the old washer. Used a lot of water to preclean them. . The new Bosch's is great! Just scrape off the big stuff and load them up. We have never had dishes this clean. Our TV room is next to the kitchen you never notice it when running. The new Bosch is very quite.

I was so excited to get my new Bosch dishwasher! I love the stainless steel, the auto open feature, the 3rd rack, the adjustable 2nd rack. I love the red light that shines on the floor to let me know that the dishwasher is on. As much as I love this dishwasher, there are still a couple of things that could improve. I find the latch that holds in the detergent pod to be very flimsy which is surprising for such an expensive piece of equipment. I also think that the there is still a lot of water on the dishes, especially considering the the rinsing aid and the auto open feature. It could be improved upon. But even with these things, I do love the dishwasher & would recommend it!

Love this dishwasher! My dishes are super clean with no rinsing before you put them in! Sooo quiet, are old one sounded like an aircraft taking off in the kitchen! The Bosch is super quiet, the only time you hear it is when water is draining. We did have the kick plate that goes underneath the dishwasher not in the box when it came. I called Bosch of new bern nc and they sent me one the next day. Very happy with our new appliance!

After 11 years of struggling with our expensive dishwasher and significant repairs, we purchased our Bosch dishwasher based on recommendations of our neighbors. We got in line at Lowes, and after a few months the specific dishwasher we needed (primarily due to space requirements) was coming in! Lowes reserved one for us, assigned an installation tech, and we waited. They scheduled the install, they came, removed the old one, installed the new one, found and repaired a small leak under the sink, and left with the old dishwasher. Job well done, quickly and well. We'd recommend Bosch, Lowes and the installer any time. We are also pleased with our Bosch clothes washer and dryer.

My Bosch 500 with Auto Air

I purchased this dishwasher without doing my homework. I knew that Bosch products are considered excellent. And, previously, I owned a Bosch washer and dryer that I loved. However, I don't feel the same way bout my New disherwasher. It is quiet, but so was my last disherwasher. This Bosch disher does not get my dishers dry. I have read everything and I have also changed the settings, but some of the dishes remain wet. The top of my glasses are always wet and needs drying. And, it is true that if you don't place bowls face down, water accumulates in the bowl. If I had known that this disher would be so much trouble to maintain, I would have purchased another one from a different company. This disher is not a month old and I am thinking about selling it.

When it works it takes forever.

I've had this machine for about 3 years and have had to have someone come in to fix it at least a half dozen times, many of them within the first few months of the installation. When it does work the regular cycle takes over 2 hours and the dishes are totally wet at the end of it.

Don't buy!

Bad to the bosh 1/10/2022

These dishwashers don't clean your dishes very well and they leave them soaking wet even if you add the extra scrub the sanitize and the extra dry setting. They seem to be after that energy star. Meaning they don't use enough water cause they don't want to have to heat it. Then not enough electric drying save that power. Wish they had a setting to override to give extra water and extra drying that actually worked.

Single Home Use Review

Since I installed this dishwasher I have been very impressed with how quiet it truly is. Appears to be doing a perfect job in cleaning our dishes. I love the dry option which automatically pops the door open (Appx. 4 inches) upon completion of the cycle. This allows the humidity out of the dishwasher and for the dishes to cool down for taking them out and putting them away. My wife however has pointed out that the silverware holders (2-count) are not the best in design as the forks and spoons when you try taking them out of the racks they hang in the rack which only then pulls the rack out of its position. After I looked at the holes in the racks that the silverware drops into I see the holes were not cut evenly but more like a triangle shape, which does not allow the silverware to pull straight out. The silverware racks only hand a loop hangar hook which leaves the trays hung very losely in the main rack so they lift off the main rack too easily. We have owned many dishwashers over the years and I have never seen such a poor design here. Otherwise I would have rated this at 5-stars. My last dishwasher was quiet as well however after just 2 years it got much louder, so hopefully in 2-years from now this one will still be as quiet as it is today. This model was a bit pricey as well over 1K so maybe not 5-stars but as long as it continues to do all the things it is designed to do and remains quiet, I still would give it a 4-star rating.

Before ordering my new Bosch I checked with friends and checked reviews online. The model I was going to get was the one just below this model, but everyone was back ordered and no sign of a definitive delivery date. So I picked this one and had it delivered. I removed my old dishwasher and prepped the opening to welcome our new addition to the family. My wife, daughter and myself sat down together and read the owners manual, we couldn't wait to give it a try. My daughter loaded it up and set it and closed the door. We waited and waited for something to happen and didn't hear it doing anything. When I opened the door I could see that it had indeed begun cleaning, standing less than 5 feet away from it we couldn't hear it running. Wow this thing is a GOD SEND, I actually called and thanked my friends who recommended Bosch and even called the sales rep at Home Depot who placed my order. I've never experienced quality like this before and guarantee that I will be replacing my remaining appliances with Bosch appliances from now on. Thank you BOSCH! I also purchased the extended warranty, it's always a great thing to have for extra peace of mind for a few more years.

Only 4 years in and it has had a heat pump failure (Error code E11). We thought we were investing in quality with Bosch. It did a good job cleaning dishes, terrible job drying them. We have learned to leave the door ajar overnight to let the dishes dry. If it were not for the equipment breaking down so soon, I would have been happy with it.

our dishwasher stopped draining. We tried to troubleshoot. Tried to repair it. My husband spent hours on the phone trying to contact Bosch without success. I sent an email to the service department on the website and they referred me back to the phone service. Never buy Bosch. I waited years to get a Bosch and could not be more disapointed.

Bosch 500 Dishwasher

Love this dishwasher, have had 3 dishwashers in the past. This one cleans the best and is super quite. The installation componets are all at the back of the dishwasher, instead of the front and I also like the red light that shines when it is washing.

Great Dishwasher but...

Great dishwasher and it cleans everything really well. My only complaint is that the angled tines of the racks make loading the dishes a little more challanging and I don't think you can maximize the space. Tines that are vertical instead of angled would make this easier to load and use.

Not worth the money

I was wholly disappointed in this dishwasher. I spent the money on the name, thinking I had bought the best and would have a trouble-free appliance for years to come. If only.... I need to wash the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. The spray arms have fallen off several times. The soap dispenser gets stuck and half the time does not open to dispense the soap. Even with pre-washing the dishes, they often need to be washed again after a cycle. Such a waste of time and money. Save a few hundred buck and buy a mid-grade dishwasher.
