New Bosch dishwashers

We recently installed two new Bosch dishwasher in our new home. Our previous home had two Bosch dishwashers as well and they were going strong after 13 years. There are a couple of differences, some I like and others not so much. The to tray for utensils is handy and does a good job. The baskets on the lower shelf are too big and top heavy items will fall out. The adjustable top shelf is a winner. Our old units would turn on when tightly closed, we really liked this feature. Having to push the start button every time is a pain. We would also like to see the 'clean' indicator to remain on until the unit is restarted. We are still getting use to the new units and it will probably take some time to get used to all of the features. Thanks

Great dishwaser

We were remodeling and decided to that our 20 year old Bosch, while still working perfectly, would not make it to the promised land. This model is a considerable upgrade. So quiet, lots of loading options, gets dishes clean. All it has to do is last 20 years. I reused the panel from the old Bosch and installed the it myself. I have two complaints. Bosch does not provide adequate information on the specifications for the panel. If you have a raised panel, the side stiles should be 3" minimum as the fasteners want to be mounted to the stiles. Second, they give a maximum length for the panel, but I had to trim a 1/2 inch off in order to get the door to open all the way. Bottom line, if you are making a panel for this diswasher, be sure to get the template ahead of time (Bosch customer service sent me one when I called) and be prepared to make adjustments to it at installation time. Installation was an adventure. The instructions are not that clear. I do not like that the water connection is at the back of the dishwasher. You make the connection, slide it under the cabinet and hope for the best. When the connection was at the front, sure you had to snake the water line under the unit, but you could easily check it by removing the toe kick. The old unit was hardwired to the electrical. Having this unit plug into GFCI outlet is a big upgrade, that is as long as you have a GFCI outlet where dishwasher is being installed or in your sink base.

Quiet and Reliable

Couldn't be happier. The door feels sturdy/heavy, the top silverware rack is great, its quiet, and the red indicator light on the floor is a nice addition so you know when its running and when its done (The unit is so quiet, its the only way to know if the cycle is still running).

Everything I expected!

This dishwasher is whiper quiet, I can only tell it's running by the red light on the floor. Love the adjustable racks and prongs, I have no problem getting everything thing in. Having a panel ready dishwasher adds to the seamless look of the kitchen cabinets. Get this dishwasher, you won't regret it!

Worth the Wait

We waited a year (53 weeks) for our panel ready dishwasher, but it was well worth it. The dishwasher has great organization to maximize the amount of dishes that can be washed, it's very very quiet, and the dishes come out dry and clean.

The touch pad is terrible. It's next to impossible to change the type of cycle you want to run. We're a little over a year into having this dishwasher and the little part that you put the soap in that's supposed to open on its own during the wash... well not it doesn't ever open. What it does to well, is wash the dishes. Just don't think you can just touch this n thar to run delicate or half load or heavy.. The delay button also has a mind of its own. We assumed buying this top of the line dishwasher would be our best option. We have a $200 dishwasher in our rental unit that's 12 years old and never had a problem with it. I would never buy this again if I could do it over.

Best Dishwasher We Have Ever Had

This new version of the Bosch dishwasher is better than ever. The layout for dishes has been so improved that even though it is the same dimensions as the old one, we can put many more dishes in it. We also find that it cleans the dishes better than the previous one leaving them sparkling clean and shiney. We thought the old one was quiet but this one is even quieter. So glad it was time for a new dishwasher.

This machine is so quiet that we literally could not tell if it was on the first time we ran a cycle. My husband had to stick his head inside the cabinet under the sink to hear it. We never knew this kind of quiet was possible. And it does a fabulous job of washing the dishes. My only complaint is the tines on the bottom rack seem strange to me. The front tines go one way and the back go another. It seems awkward to load that rack. I do like the silverware rack. I didn't think I would like it. I thought it would be too time consuming to put each piece in individually, but that hasn't been the case. It's very easy to load and unload.

Best dishwasher so far!

This is our third Bosch dishwasher and our first panel-ready model. While most dishwashers leave a lot to be desired, Bosh always leaves the dishes clean. Even peanut butter covered knives on the top rack come out perfect! Compared to our previous Bosh models, this is the best one yet. Plastics come out much dryer, the third rack opens up a lot of room for large pots and baking bowls, and the adjustable tines make for more flexible dish placement than before. This dishwasher is also VERY quiet. We've previously bought the 44 db models and (while quiet) could always hear them when turned on. This 42 db model is much stealthier, and we have to check for the red light to make sure it is on. We also really like the panel ready design and ability to pick our own handle. The biggest detriment to our previous Bosh dishwashers has been the plastic ends of the handle, which can crack if knocked during installation or if something hits the end at an odd angle. With the panel ready, we were able to use a very durable solid metal handle that matches our cabinets and overall kitchen design. Very happy and would gladly buy again.

I am happy with my new Bosch which replaces a Bosch which I had for over 17 years. The new one has a third pull out for silverware which I like to use for flat tops to plastic drinkware.... perfect!! I must admit it took some time to get used to the longer cycles but the machine is more quiet than the last so it is not a problem. I wish it had come with a manual so I did not have to copy one from the internet...... old lady here : )

Love this dishwasher! I have had it for three months and cleans beautifully. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five, is because of the third rack (which I like), tall tumblers and water bottles like Yetis for example, do not fit. I like how a message illuminates when it is time to add more rinse aid. Also, it's super quiet. Have been waiting for nearly four months for our new Bosch combo wall oven unit and honestly haven't been impressed with their customer service. Actually, there has been NO customer service.

Red Infolight is a downgrade

We just replaced our Bosch dishwasher for new but similar Bosch dishwasher. The old model had a much more elegant info light that projected of time left in the cycle discreetly onto the floor in white. The new model projects a simple red light and it doesn't give the time remaining in the cycle.

Love the crystal dry. Easy operation and installation. Love the third rack for the silverware. Not happy with the layout of the tongs in the racks. It does not fit well for large coffee cups nor for bowls on the bottom rack.
